Colombia. The inter-institutional conferences for the construction of 'the Public Communication Policy of Indigenous Peoples' and 'the National Unified Indigenous Television Plan' were held, which are part of the commitments acquired by Mintic and the National Television Authority with indigenous peoples in the National Development Plan 2014-2018 All for a New Country.
These days, which were held on October 17, 18, 19 and 20, were led by the Concip (National Communications Commission of and for Indigenous Peoples), the ANTV and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, with the aim of establishing dynamics of dialogue and articulation between the National Government and the delegates of the indigenous peoples, to promote the construction of a Public Communications Policy and a National Television Plan with a differential approach and vision of sustainability, harmonized between the State and the indigenous peoples of the country.
The working groups were accompanied by the Ministry of the Interior and the participation of the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Culture, SENA, Colciencias, RTVC, ANE, the Ministry of Justice, the General Archive of the Nation and ICANH, with a view to achieving a forthcoming protocolization of both commitments within the framework of the Permanent Table for Consultation with Indigenous Peoples.
