Colombia. The Spanish company Gsertel has been awarded a contract for the supply of DVB-T/T2 monitoring equipment through a tender, within the support plan for the implementation of Digital Terrestrial Television, DTT, in Colombia.
The financing of this project, whose beneficiary is the National Television Authority, ANTV, comes from the European Union, through an agreement for the modernization of DTT infrastructures in the country.
The contract contemplates the installation of various RCS equipment located in 22 cities of the country and will allow, through a control center, the complete and real-time supervision of the signal received by users, including critical parameters such as spectral emission, impulsive response, DVB-T2 signal quality and supervision of the dvB frame content.
The continuous monitoring of the signal will allow the ANTV to deploy services of greater added value and quality to its users, regardless of their location throughout the country, and considerably reduce incident times.
Obtaining this contract will allow Gsertel to increase its presence in Latin America, since the monitoring technology used is compatible with both the DVB-T/T2 standard, which is used in Colombia, and the ISDB-T/Tb, implemented in most countries in the region.
