Latin America. On April 6, the portal www.adslzone.net published the news that in a joint operation agents of the National Police of Spain, Europol, Eurojust and the Special Prosecutor's Office against Computer Crime carried out 12 searches between Spain and Bulgaria, which left the arrest of 8 people for "illicitly distributing about a thousand payment channels through two ISPs" (Internet Service Provider Companies).
In Colombia especially, you see the emergence of many ISPs that seek to have television content to offer their customers. Be very careful, do not be tempted by these provider of channels over IP, at the moment not all that shines is gold and I could be involved in a serious matter of violation of internationally protected copyrights.
If we make a brief review, copyright is a set of legal norms and principles that affirm the moral and economic rights of one or more of various types, which the law grants to authors, it seems complicated to apply it and it is not in truth, by the simple fact of the creation of a literary work, artistic, musical, scientific or didactic, whether published or unpublished, you already own the rights to them. There are several international treaties that affirm these rights and protect them globally, as copyright is recognized as one of the fundamental human rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Returning to the operational point revealed by the authorities, the investigation was initiated following the complaint filed by a representative of "The Football Association Premier League" against a citizen of Denmark, the accused was the owner of one of the most important Internet providers in the city of Malaga, an ISP, by which he distributed the signal illegally.
Given the equipment seized, it is estimated that it came to broadcast 1000 illicitly coded pay TV channels, the technical knowledge of its operators and the important infrastructure it handled, allowed it to offer a service with a quality very similar to that of legal operators, which allowed it to reach thousands of customers in different countries of the European Union through another ISP that it set up in the Bulgarian city of Silistra.
The Mountain View company, Google, is considered one of the great gateways to the internet. They regularly receive requests to remove content that may infringe copyright. Many of the copyright defenders – and anti-piracy organizations – have blamed Google, which must be responsible for manually reviewing its results to prevent "pirate links" from being prioritized in the positioning of its search engine. Within its action plan, it has significantly increased its anti-piracy efforts. If you want to see the figures, visit the Google portal
