Colombia. Newtek and its distributor in Colombia, AVTech Ltda, had two sessions, in the cities of Manizales and Medellín, in which they presented all the benefits of the Tricaster Advance Edition and the protocol for IP NDI.
Victor Dupret, regional sales manager of Newtek for the Southern Cone, told TVyVideo+Radio that these types of events are intended to show channels that the IP protocol is not as far away as it seems, that it is now, it is easy to use and is free, using Newtek's NDI protocol.
One of the particularities of the IP NDI protocol is that it has many applications that are free and very useful, such as a free plugin for Premier and NDI Monitor, which also serves to monitor digital signage. Paid apps have a free version.
"We are very happy about the acceptance of NDI in Latin America, thanks to the fact that it has zero configuration, it is very easy to use and people are implementing it. In Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador we have several radio stations, television channels and even courts that are using our protocol successfully," said Victor Dupret.
Another of the products that were presented is Advance Edition, a set of 100 applications available for the Tricaster Mini, 410, 860 and 8000, which deliver functions such as the ability to repeat, to make a reality, football, elections and others, such as NDI.
For his part, José Rojano, manager of AVTech Ltda, said that the idea with these events is to bring professional technology to intermediate cities that require solutions but do not usually reach direct presentations from manufacturers. In addition, he assured that he will continue to do this type of events linking other brands that he represents.
