Colombia. The calls for the 8th edition of the Bogota Audiovisual Market, BAM, the most important business platform of the audiovisual industry in Colombia and one of the most recognized in the Latin American scenario, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, CCB, and Proimágenes Colombia, with the support of the Fund for Cinematographic Development, are open, FDC.
You can be part of the BAM from four fronts: participating in the calls for free, registering as a company or professional, attending the academic agenda or Bam Talks, or being a buyer.
In terms of calls this year there are great novelties, as the market goes from 4 to 6 categories. So, in addition to having the BAM Projects; Screenings; Bammers and the Video Library (see description), two new categories emerge in which the industry can participate in the respective calls: BAM Stories and Festival Workshop.
Another novelty is that the website www.bogotamarket.com changed to offer a better service to the audiovisual industry and will be launched tomorrow along with the image of the 8th edition. In this platform those interested will find all the information of the BAM and will be able to register for each of the sections of the platform.
This year the BAM will be held from July 10 to 14 at the facilities of the Chapinero Business Center of the CCB, the Modern gymnasium and Multiplex Cinecolombia Av. Chile. France will be the guest country of honor and from which the participation of about 20 representatives of the industry is expected.
Mónica de Greiff, Executive President of the CCB, said that "this is a platform that responds to the needs of the audiovisual industry in general. It is an opportunity for entrepreneurs in the orange economy, specifically in the audiovisual industry, to find tools to improve the circulation and promotion of their productions, as well as alternatives to finance their realization."
For her part, Claudia Triana, Executive Director of Proimágenes added that "For bam it is an honor to have France as a guest country during the project "Cross seasons" that France carries out with different countries of the world. It will be an exceptional historical moment that will enhance cultural, artistic, commercial and economic ties. This eighth edition will be possible thanks to the support of entities such as the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, the National Television Authority - ANTV, MinTIC, Procolombia, Cine Colombia, Caracol Cine and France, among others".
This market has positioned itself as the must for the main players in the Colombian audiovisual industry, as well as for hundreds of international representatives and entrepreneurs who appreciate the quality and creativity of local talent.
