Ecuador. The Agency for regulation and control of Telecommunications, Arcotel, published the list of scores achieved by the participants of the public frequency contest for the Operation of Private and Community Social Media of Radio and / or Open Signal Television.
This publication was made in accordance with the constitutional ruling issued by the Judicial Unit of Violence Against Women and the Family – 2 of Pichincha, which provides: "That the Executive Director of the Arcotel Company Agency for Regulation and Control of Telecommunications, Eng. Ana Proaño de la Torre, or whoever takes her place, in order to deliver the list of applicants.
Arcotel received 311 requests for review from interested parties. In accordance with the commitments made, Arcotel will send in the coming days to the Council for the Regulation and Development of Information and Communication (Cordicom), the files of up to the five best scored, which have reached the minimum established by each of the frequencies in competition.
Arcotel reiterates that it has reserved the information provided to its custody on the frequency contest, in accordance with constitutional principles and reiterates that the process has been developed from a technical and transparent approach, based on the Organic Law of Communication, bases of the contest, and other applicable regulations, thus guaranteeing transparency, equity and impartiality in the evaluations.
