Colombia. The National Television Authority awarded the bidding process for the concession of television spaces of the National Channel of Public Operation to the promise of future society Plural Comunicaciones SAS, composed of CM&, NTC, RTI and HMTV1, four of the ten previously registered in the RUO.
The proposal of the bidder that complied with all the parameters contemplated in the specifications, was for a value of 107,500'000,000, that is, 9.6 percent, higher than the price set and adopted by the National Television Board.
Today the country has a new television option within a democratic exercise, in which the interested parties had the opportunity to participate in a pluralistic process, with guarantees of transparency, and that overcame all legal and juridical barriers.
During the process, the ANTV responded to each of the observations presented and had the continuous accompaniment of the Attorney General's Office as a control entity.
The award of the concession of television spaces of the national channel of public operation was granted for a period of ten years that begin to take effect from the first of May 2017, date on which the programming of the new concessionaire will begin.
