Argentina. In the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, the fourth meeting was held between communications specialists, academics and officials, who presented their opinions on the new legislation.
The fourth edition of the Academic Debate on Freedom of Expression and Communication Convergence was held in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Jujuy (UNJu), and was opened by the coordinator of the Commission of the new Communications Law, Silvana Giudici; one of the directors of the National Communications Agency (ENACOM), Miguel Giubergia; and the rector of the aforementioned house of studies, Rodolfo Tecchi.
After the presentation, two panels were made. In the first of them, "Development of telecommunications infrastructure networks", the telecommunications engineer, Rolando Helguero; the engineer of the National University of La Plata, Fabián Di Cicco; the economist, Gonzalo Berra; and Miguel Giubergia as moderator.
Subsequently, the second panel was developed, called "Plurality of voices, access to information and freedom of expression", in which the journalist Jorge Reales Pedano participated; the constitutional lawyer, Félix Loñ; the journalist and professor of the UNJu, Amalia Eyzayaga; and the delegate of the National Communications Agency (ENACOM) in Salta, Gustavo Iovino; with the moderation of the constitutional lawyer, Andrés Gil Domínguez.
Finally, the closing was in charge of the governor of the province of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, who thanked that the day has passed in his province and, especially, in the field of a university, for the implication it gives to the preliminary project.
