Successful closing in calls for development for TV

Colombia. The National Television Authority, ANTV, closed the deadline for the call for the promotion of the industry 2016, which aimed to receive proposals for audiovisual content productions for television.

A total of 72 proposals were submitted from all parts of the country, in the four established categories, which were divided as follows:

Category No. 1: Production of unitary documentaries that reflect the culture of the area of influence of the operators of the public service of non-profit television open (local) and closed (community).

Category No. 2: Production of a television series aimed at the children's audience, of at least four (4) chapters

- Publicidad -

Category No. 3: Production of a television fiction series that addresses issues of Colombian regional culture, of at least four (4) chapters

Category No. 4: Production and production of unitary documentaries developed by ethnic groups constituted in accordance with the Law and that are recognized before the competent authority, which address issues related to the dissemination, strengthening, reconstruction, recognition or dissemination of the culture and values of these groups.

For the director of the National Television Authority, Ángela María Mora Soto, this result demonstrates once again the great interest in the country to generate new content, as well as reflecting the marked growth of the audiovisual production industry in Colombia. "We are very happy with this process, because for the entity, these spaces become a clear opportunity for our productions, which are increasingly positioned as high quality products."

The call that is a fundamental part of the objectives of the ANTV, has $ 1,672 million that will be destined to promote and encourage the production of audiovisual content of public interest.

To continue with the process, the National Television Authority and the jury will carry out the respective verification of requirements and proceed with the evaluation of the projects. Once selected, the winners will be announced on the ANTV website: www.antv.gov.co
