Argentina. Within the framework of the approval of the new Regulation on the Registration of ICT Services (ENACOM Resolution No. 2483/2016) for Internet access providers (ISPs), the digital form to register in the system as a provider was made available on the Enacom web platform.
Through this simplified licensing regime for Internet access providers, the different ISPs that currently operate can regularize their situation through a process that now becomes faster and simpler via the web. The requirements of the forms available online were simplified and the procedures through which the procedure is carried out were streamlined. In addition, this implies that it will not be necessary to approach the agency in person, but just by entering the Enacom site in the "Procedures" tab and then to "Web platform" you access the option "Enter the web platform" (right side) where a user must be created to start with the application.
In the same process, the license and registration of Value Added Service – Internet Access (SVA-ISP) is granted. In those cases in which the applicant requires authorization for the use of frequencies (for the 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands), the entity will also grant it through the same route and in the same administrative act. In this way, it is expected to achieve the regularization of many ISPs not only so that they can continue to operate and maintain their source of work, but also so that users in different areas of the country can count on quality communications services. It is even expected that the simplification of the procedure will allow the creation of new ISPs, both for their digital and decentralized registration mode and for their lower requirements.
