Mexico. With the award of tenders for new Digital Open Television (DTT) and digital radio channels, GatesAir is growing in the Mexican market, said Diego Gilles, Sales Manager for Latin America of the company.
"We are doing very well in Mexico; we have completed many quite important projects with expectations for the tender of the new radio licenses and for the new television network - which apparently will be at the end of the year or the beginning of the next; we are very attentive," he said during his participation in Expo Cine, TV y Video 2016.
On the company's penetration in the region, he said: "In Latin America it depends on the dynamics of each country; we are with projects in Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia. We closed a very interesting project in Paraguay and we will be working on a very important project that will be defined in Chile. Argentina is a little slower, but we are confident that it will change, because apparently the economy will open up and new investments will be made. But we are well positioned."
Gilles reported on the growth of the company in the Latin American region: "We have a large presence in the region, with support and pre-sales people and with it we are well prepared. We have some issues that are about to be decided and we have clients who always buy from us, such as the main radio stations in Colombia, and they always have something new to develop. We also have some issues in Brazil, which although it is a country that has to recover, we are there working hard, seeing with good prospects the second half of 2016."
