Mexico. With sales higher than estimated, Evertz closed its fiscal year last April and a significant segment of those increases come from Latin America, said Rodrick Smith, the company's director of sales for Latin America.
"We are doing very well in Latin America, we closed the fiscal year in April, but it was a record for the company with more than 380 million dollars in revenue with a gross profit of 57%, a record revenue for the company, but also in profits we were very successful. For the Latin region it has been a record and our forecasts for this fiscal year are also very positive," he said during Expo Cine, TV y Video, held in Mexico City.
Smith said a significant percentage of that revenue goes to research and development of new products. "We have invested 17% of revenue in each quarter in research and development; we continue with the aggressive concept of technology research and development, because that is a commitment to the industry, which is key for us."
Among the main products shown during the exhibition were its SDVN solution, as well as the DreamCatcher replay system. "We have an SDVN system with our IP technology, which we have placed, for example in Televisa in the William Aguirre area. We also show the DreamCatcher system that we have presented here in Mexico in the new TDN studios in Chapultepec," he said.
