In Cartagena, Andinalink will celebrate version 22

More than 1,500 visitors, 90 exhibitors and visitors from 34 countries, are some of the numbers with which the 2015 version of Andinalink Cartagena closed. The 2016 edition will seek to overcome these numbers, for which the organizers have prepared an important academic agenda and several more novelties.

This year the Technological Update Seminar will have as its central axis the "Impact of OTT services on our access networks, Are we on the edge of the precipice?". In this seminar they will evaluate the different technological resources to get the most out of the investment made in the networks and extend their useful life as much as possible. Coaxial cable is receding in the face of the advance of optical fiber and it should be tried to make this a smooth transition. There will always be hybrid solutions although in the future the coaxial cable will be relegated to the last section that would not exceed one hundred meters.

The academic programming of Andinalink 2016 also has the Fica Forum, based on the 360 Degree Convergence, in which only Telecommunications companies that incorporate complete convergent solutions will have the opportunity to survive.

Among the topics that will be addressed during the three days of the Fica Forum are: the distribution of content in the digital age, challenges in the provision of internet services: cablers, ISPs or N play providers? and new services for operators software and applications that will make a difference.

This academic agenda is complemented by the exhibition, in which important technology providers will be present, as well as the most outstanding payment channels.

In addition, within the framework of the fair will be held the National Meeting of Cable Operators, organized by the engineer Luis Pinto. The event will address two current issues, the first is how is the payment of desserts regulated? for which will be Germán Castro, of the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission, Creg. The second is access to information for the deaf population, which will include Marcela Cubides, director of the National Institute for the Deaf, Insor. The forum will be held on March 2 at 5 pm in the Pegaso room of the Cartagena Convention Center.

TVyVideo+Radio will be present at AndinaLink Cartagena to tell you the latest news that will be presented at the fair.
