Colombia. The director of the National Television Authority, ANTV, Angela María Mora Soto, in her recent visit to the island of San Andrés, sealed a strategic alliance with SENA to advance a training program that will open employment opportunities for many San Andresans.
The complementary training program "Installation of internal infrastructure the reception of Digital Terrestrial Television, DTT" will last 100 hours, which will include a first theoretical-practical component of 60 hours and an additional one of safe work at heights, will be completely free and will be able to access those who are of legal age with 9 degree of secondary schooling approved that pass the pre-occupational exam that certifies their good state of health to perform this activity.
All those who are certified in the course, have the possibility of linking up for the DTT installation process in San Andres homes. Next week the Seine will be launching the open call for all those who meet these minimum requirements.

"We estimate that the first week of March we can open registrations, the second week we can start the training process so that at the end of April we will be delivering to the ANTV the qualified certified personnel so that the installation stage of the equipment can be successfully carried out throughout the Island," said the Director of SENA, Lorena Aldana.
In March there will be a joint work of socialization informing the islanders what are the advantages that DTT brings with it and where the decoders can be acquired. "We already have some dates and concrete activities to continue fulfilling the islanders. The first thing is that the Teleislas channel already has the necessary resources to carry out the process of acquiring equipment, as well as the socialization of the new way of watching television," said Mora Soto.
It is expected that by July 31, the decoders of the 4,020 households of strata 1, and 2 and raizales that will be beneficiaries of the program will be installed. It is important to mention that the rest of the population will be able to acquire the decoder and the UHF antenna or the television with the tuner incorporated in the trade.
