Latin America. The 305 Broadcast University is a series of specialization workshops in Broadcasting dictated by manufacturers, which will be held in the city of Miami with the aim of improving the level of knowledge and productivity of Engineers in the Radio and TV industry throughout the continent.
This first edition, of four planned for 2016, will feature the participation of important leading companies in the industry such as Elenos, Wheatstone, WinMedia, Comrex and Burk, which will be responsible for dictating the theoretical and practical workshops on the following topics:
1. ELENOS / FM Transmitter, Indium Series: Maintenance of an Indium series transmitter, navigation through the transmitter menus, connection and use of the eBox for remote management, as well as the performance of maintenance and preventive diagnosis.
2. WHEATSTONE / Audio over IP Networks: IP console programming workshop, configuration of a Blade, audio networks by IP and use of GPIO logical ports in an IP system.
3. WINMEDIA / Automation in Radio and Television: A whole day to identify its benefits and understand the true tools necessary in a Radio, Visual Radio or Television automation system.
4. COMREX / Live audio and video over IP transmission: Optimal configuration and transmission over public IP, field production tools, Crosslock technology in Access 4.0, VPN connection between the units and optimization for IP audio handling, and finally.
5. BURK / Remote Control and Monitoring of a transmission site: Implementation of a Remote Control, normally monitored parameters, flowchart methods of automated functions and key functionalities of a Broadcasting Operations Center.
A point to highlight is that each workshop will have audio in Spanish and English, so that attendees can get the most educational benefit possible from this experience, where they will be evaluated at the end of it for their corresponding certification.
This important meeting will be held on February 18 and 19 of this year at the new facilities of 305 Broadcast, located at 2561 NW 74 Avenue #16 in the city of Miami, FL, USA.
