Colombia. Once again, public television is named in an award that recognizes digital content and multiplatform strategies. On this occasion, the TR3CE Channel and the allied channels were nominated by the Colombian Chamber of Informatics and Telecommunications, the El Tiempo Publishing House and the Ministry of Information technologies and communications through its program Gobierno en Línea, to the Colombia en Línea 2015 Award in the category of Best Strategy in Social Networks.
The nomination was for the Pass to the public strategy of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies -MinTIC- and all Colombian public channels (Tr3CE Channel, TRO, Telepacific, Teleantioquia, Teleislas, Telecaribe, Telecafé and Señal Colombia) that was implemented by the TR3CE Channel and had the teamwork of the aforementioned signals.
The Award, which in its 2015 version, seeks to recognize national talent in the development of software and digital content on the Internet, revealed its nominations in the ten different categories after an evaluation carried out by ten juries linked to the academy and representatives of the ICT guild in each of the modalities, who through a team of professionals selected the three initiatives that had the highest rating.
What is Pass to the public?
Pásate A la Pública (#pásatealapública) is a convergent initiative that allows Colombian public television to take advantage of its digital assets and peer-to-peer alliances, to expand its reach and position itself as an entertainment alternative to private and international offer.
It is a call to action through content displayed on the screen of each channel and its social networks, which invites the audience to know, enjoy and talk about their audiovisual projects. It points out in its networks for summoning users of digital media, so that they know and participate in the content strips of public television.
Results of Pass to the Public
In its first digital activation, within the framework of the India Catalina awards, #PásateAlaPública achieved 11,820 mentions on social networks between March 15 and 16, 2014, positioning the label #PásateAlaPública as a trend on Twitter Colombia.
On March 28 and 29, 2015, on the occasion of the India Catalina awards ceremony, nearly 3 million 400 thousand twitter users and about one million users on Facebook were impacted.
The use of the hashtag #PásateALaPública has positioned itself as a benchmark for the promotion and unity of national public television. Currently and derived from the reception that the campaign has had on social networks. #PásateAlaPública, the RecMotion call is being developed, the Digital Content Festival where anyone who wishes can participate by developing stories of people who have transformed their lives through technological appropriation in their regions.
