Argentina. Next Tuesday, December 1, the Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services, Afsca, will hold the seventh installment of the Building Citizenship awards on Radio and Television.
The ceremony will be held from 20:30hs at the Tango Porteño theater and will be broadcast by Public TV. The awards are a recognition of audiovisual productions and / or radio and television stations of the public, private, community and cooperative sector throughout the country, which promote cultural diversity, promote the plurality of voices and looks, and encourage the intellectual and aesthetic freedom of communication workers and Argentine culture.
The winners were selected by a jury composed of members of AFSCA, and representatives of INCAA (National Institute of Cinema and Visual Arts); the Secretariat of Human Rights of the Nation; the Ministry of Culture of the Nation; the Grandmothers Association of Plaza de Mayo; the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association; INADI (National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism); SENAF (National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and the Family); the Argentine Association of Actors; Argentores (General Society of Authors of Argentina); DAC (Argentine Film Directors); FATPREN (Argentine Federation of Press Workers); SAGAI (Sociedad Argentina de Gestión de Actores Interpretes); SATSAID (Sindicato Argentino de Televisión); the Office of the Public Defender for Audiovisual Communication Services; H.I.J.O.S. (Sons and Daughters for Identity and Justice against Oblivion and Silence) and the UTPBA (Union of Press Workers of Buenos Aires).
