Argentina. Telefónica Argentina, a subsidiary of Grupo Telefónica, selected Gigamon's network visibility solutions to improve its service offering to subscribers.
Through Gigamon, Telefónica Argentina will be able to understand more precisely the way in which its subscribers consume content, adjusting its service offer to suit the needs of each client.
Telefonica Argentina is working with Gigamon to increase its network performance and optimization capabilities. Daitek, Gigamon's Reseller in Argentina, used its technological and local experience to facilitate the relationship between the two companies.

Telefonica Argentina is using a significant number of Gigamon solutions and technologies, including GigaSMART applications for network traffic intelligence: Adaptive Packet Filtering, Application Session Filtering and Header Stripping as well as Gigamon's proprietary flow mapping. By combining the GigaVUE-TA1 and GigaVUE-HD8 Fabric Node aggregation solution with the GigaSMART applications implemented as part of the Visibility Fabric architecture, Telefonica Argentina gained visibility in more than 32 x 10Gbps IP/MPLS links.
The GigaSMART feature reduced the traffic that needed to be processed by the tools, resulting in a 10:1 saving for Telefónica. With Gigamon solutions in place, Telefónica Argentina can streamline the introduction of new technologies such as VoLTE, IMS and CDN to its network and reduce operational and performance impact.
