International. Blackmagic Design announced a new price for the popular Mini Converter UpDownCross model. This version is compatible with 3G SDI technology and allows you to convert content in SD and HD to other formats of higher, lower or equal resolution at an economical price. In this way, users have a tool that not only offers the possibility of obtaining images in standard definition or high definition, but also facilitates the conversion between HD and Full HD resolutions.
In addition, the UpDownCross model is capable of processing four-field sequences, making it ideal for conversions between NTSC and PAL or connecting it to recording equipment, even at different frame rates. In turn, the mini-converter automatically adjusts the sound to match the image, in order to provide unbeatable audiovisual synchronization.
Thanks to its extraordinary features including a frame resynchronizer, connections for reference signals, multi-repeat filtering and the possibility of reducing instability in the SDI image, the Mini Converter UpDownCross allows you to obtain sharp images with extraordinary synchronization. It is even possible to use it as an amplifier in the distribution of SDI signals when it is not necessary to convert content. In this way, the user has 6 resynchronized outputs that can be connected to any other device compatible with this digital interface.
"The Mini Converter UpDownCross model is one of the original 3G SDI mini converters and has enjoyed great popularity for a long time," said Grant Petty, CEO of Blackmagic Design. "Having increased our efficiency and production capacity, we were able to offer this mini-converter at an unprecedented price."
This product is available from all distributors of Blackmagic Design products at a price of $295.
