Argentina. The latest Dataxis study revealed that there are a total of 53 TV Everywhere (TVE) platforms in South America and Mexico (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) until the second quarter of 2015, 15 that correspond to programmers and 38 that belong to Pay-TV operators.
In addition, the report "TV Everywhere Market in Latin America 2015" detected 2014 as the year with the highest number of launches of new platforms, with seven appearances.
Between 2014 and 2015, Latin American Pay-TV subscribers have seen a significant increase in the offer of TVE platforms by programmers. This trend was also joined by subscription TV operators that opted to launch their own platform, some with exclusive content and others only grouping the platforms of the programmers.
In this way, thanks to these new proposals and the new agreements that closed the existing platforms, TV Everywhere in Latin America (the 11 countries mentioned) has ended the second quarter of this year with a penetration of more than 75% of the total subscribers of the Pay-TV market.
The report also determined that the programmer with the greatest potential reach in TVE is Espn, through its two platforms Espn Play (Latin America) and Watch Espn (Brazil), with 64.7% of the total Pay-TV market. In that ranking, the second place is occupied by Fox with 59.5%, thanks to Fox Play. However, Fox is the programmer that has more TVE agreements with Pay-TV operators, since it has a total of 49.
On the other hand, "TV Everywhere Market in Latin America 2015" identified Colombia as the country with the highest level of tve penetration, as 94.6% of Pay-TV subscribers have access to a platform. The second country is Argentina with a penetration of 94.2%.
