Paraguay. Canal U and Vivo Play reached an agreement within the framework of Asunción Media Show 2015, in which it was established that the web platform will transmit content from the Uruguayan signal on its site.
After the agreement, Carlos Hulett, CEO of Vivo Play, indicated that his company "is always in search of the best and the greatest amount of content that connects Latin Americans in the world with the current situation in the region. We see in Canal U an important product that can reach Uruguayans who are outside the country, with quality content, close and current with what is happening permanently in Uruguay," he added.
The executive said that it is the first content from Uruguay that will be incorporated into the platform, from a country that he considers "a special case in Latin America, since it has good technology with prepared people and a lot of human capital." In addition, he indicated that it has "very good generation of content, information, with a deep-rooted culture."
"Vivo Play is growing at a more or less sustained rate of 30% per month, although sometimes we have had very interesting peaks, as in the month of July, with 80%. We are increasingly incorporating more channels, improving our platform and connectivity," he said.
Hulett said that they are "very focused on the original production," starting production "outside of Venezuela, which is important because until now the original content was very focused" on that country. The executive said that this path is being started in Colombia.
