Colombia. The Superior Council of Fiscal Policy (Confis), approved future validity for $ 58 billion for public television coverage in the national territory. The resources will ensure the coverage throughout the national territory of the universal service of the open signals of national and regional television.
This was reported by the Minister of Finance, Mauricio Cárdenas, who stressed that the development of this project will benefit two million homes in the country.
With these resources, a satellite space will be contracted to take the television signal to the entire national territory, so that once it is implemented, users can access the service.
The resources have as a strategy to bring public television to regions in Colombia where it is not profitable for any private operator to provide its services.
