Colombia. This week the winners of the call that the Tr3ce Channel made for the independent producers of the Andean Region, which seeks to receive their television projects to later be developed, in the fourth call of this type made by the channel.
The public channel, which under this model has co-produced successful and award-winning formats, dedicated this opportunity content on two axes: post-conflict and indigenous communities.
On the one hand, they received proposals that have post-conflict as their central theme. This logically because of the historical moment that the country is going through. The purpose of the Channel is to venture into content that, from the television point of view, bets on building a new model of country where young people are the ones who propose and make visible how this nascent panorama is built and lived.
On the other hand, projects on indigenous populations of the Andean Zone are expected. The Tr3ce Channel has in this region, made up of nine departments, its area of influence, where there is precisely the largest number of indigenous groups in the country. The projects must make this sector of the population visible from within the groups.
The idea is that technology is additionally linked not as an element that endangers the indigenous culture of each population and its customs, but as a tool to preserve and make it known. The intention is for the indigenous people of the region to be the protagonists and narrators of their stories.
It is worth noting that through this type of calls the channel has developed projects that have not only enjoyed the favor of the public, but have achieved both national and international recognition. Una historia en bicicleta (India Catalina Award for Best Documentary Series), Tru3que (India Catalina Award for Best New Format in Television) and Convénceme si puedes (Nominated at the India Catalina Awards and winner of the Tal Award for Best Educational Production).
It is estimated that this year about one hundred million pesos will be invested in the realization of the selected projects. These resources come from the National Television Authority's Television Development Fund.
