Mexico. Last Saturday, February 28, the television channel De la Hoya TV made its debut with the production of "Street Fury", a boxing gala that took place at the Oasis Arena Cancun, Mexico. The channel, whose signal will go on the air soon, began its operations with a High Definition (HD) broadcast of the event that reached millions of fans in the United States and Latin America through the Fox Sports and Claro Sports channels.
"We are extremely happy with this shocking debut of our channel as producers of an event of such magnitude. We have the most advanced cross-platform digital technology that gives us a unique reach for the benefit of the viewer," said Victor Hugo Montero, CEO of De La Hoya TV.
The facilities of the headquarters hotel "Grand Oasis" shone with lights and color, with a spectacular crowd where the spectators enjoyed an artistic show for the whole family, enlivened by the Cuban singer Alex de Lara, who performed a song in the reggaeton style dedicated to Pepe Gómez, president of Cancun Boxing and one of the three partners of De la Hoya TV.
A special ballet delighted local fans and tourists, while a Mexican musical band entertained the audience in the minute of rest during each of the seven fights that made up the program of the function.
Accentuating its tendency to be a cross-platform channel, De la Hoya TV offered boxing fans who could not be present, the opportunity to follow the incidences of the fights through the use of their electronic tablets, smartphones (Android or Iphone OS), and their smart TVs.
In addition, the audience could enjoy not only boxing, but also the natural attractions of Quintana Roo, and, in particular, those of Cancun.
