Colombia. Within the framework of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of television, the National Television Authority, ANTV, in coordination with RTVC and Teleantioquia, will hold in Medellín, the third regional table "Thinking from the Regions", to analyze the contribution and perspective of the regional channel in its area of influence.
The event will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 and will have two moments; in the morning, a private meeting at the headquarters of Teleantioquia, will meet Dr. Olga Castaño Martínez Representative of the Universities in the JNTV, and Clara Marcela Mejía, Manager of Teleantioquia. Also the managers of the seven regional channels, national and local experts of the Television sector.
Likewise, the round table will be held with free participation for all those interested in the topic of the future of regional public television, starting at 4 pm. in the Teátrico, Laureles neighborhood, the table will be moderated by Olga Castaño and will have the participation of invited experts.
The participants will be responsible for the development of the thematic axes defined for this purpose such as: analyzing the current panorama of public and private television, public or viewers, market participation and financing models and Convergence, referring to the particular context of each region.
The regional table of the capital of Antioquia, is the third of eight that will be held between July and December with the different regional channels: August 6 in Barranquilla – Telecaribe; 13 August Manizales Telecafé; September 3 in Medellín – Teleantioquia; September 17 in Neiva - Channel 13; October 16 in Cali – Telepacífco; October 29 San Andrés – Teleislas; November 12 Bucaramanga - Canal TRO; November 26 Bogotá - Canal Capital; and December 3 the National Forum in Bogotá - Señal Colombia.
The activity in the Teátrico will be free and free admission until full capacity. For people who cannot attend the forum, it will be broadcast live on Teleantioquia and via streaming through the website www.teleantioquia.gov.co also on the portal of the National Television Authority www.antv.gov.co.
Within the framework of the 60 years of TV, the ANTV intends with these forums, to reflect on what is the path traveled by public television in the regions; its contribution, its strengths, its transformations, through financing, audiences and content in order to establish the route and the future for the sector.
