Brazil. SET, the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering, opened the call for the SET Awards 2014, in its fifth edition. The award is dedicated to companies and professionals that contribute to innovation and relevance to the development of Brazilian television technology. Tickets can open until July 22.
Companies wishing to register must be established in Brazil, have an official representation or distributor. Professionals must be exercising their activities in Brazil. The award is divided into six categories:
- Products/solutions for isd-T transmission - innovation in ISDB-T digital television transmission, solutions and integration with satellites and IP networks.
- Innovative product for reception in ISDB-T - includes antennas, receivers, tuners, devices for reception and software for mobile and portable receivers.
- Project for interactivity in TV - innovative projects, such as T-commerce, Social TV, audience types and others.
- Mobility project for audiovisual content - innovative projects for the mobility and consumption of audiovisual content.
- Innovative project for post-production - projects in the production flow on any platform.
- Solutions for the production, distribution and archiving of audiovisual content in the cloud - Solutions for SaaS (software as a service), PaaS (platform as a service) and IaaS (urbanization works as a service), which add value to the media and entertainment segments with the integration of ecosystems or workflow, in private and public clouds.
Each category will have a winner who will receive a SEAL PRIZE SET 2014 WINNER, to be used in websites, catalogs, advertising, social networks and other media, as a public demonstration of the recognition in the market of the winning products, service, technology or project.
The ceremony will take place during SET EXPO 2014, when the winners will be announced and each will receive a trophy delivered specially invited for it.
The works submitted to compete for the prize will be evaluated by the SET Organizing Committee. A list of the three finalists in each category will be chosen by the Committee and validated by the SET Board of Directors.
From July 25 to August 13, this list will be made known largely to SET members and industry professionals, and voting can be done via the Internet on the website.
