Colombia. Seeking that users know and take advantage of 100% of the Tricaster system, the company Newtek and its representative in Colombia AV Tech, brought for the first time to Latin America Don Ballance, vice president of Training of the company.
"We want customers to stop using 10 or 20% of the Tricaster, as we've found cases, and use it 100%. This system is coming out as a production standard and what is missing is well-trained people. They must learn to master the machine, which is not just a switcher or a virtual set," said Ralph Messana, sales director for the Newtek region.
For his part, José Rojano, manager of AV Tech, commented that there were 15 companies from different regions of the country, including channels, universities and other customers, which registered for this two-day training and which was based at the Multimedia Center of the Eafit University of Medellín.
To make training much more productive for everyone, the University's TV studio was adapted with capacity for 12 Tricaster workstations, to which many of the participants arrived with their equipment. And in the control center an additional space was enabled so that those who did not take their equipment could follow all the details live.
José Rojano added that the attendees were able to know "the latest techniques, tricks and the convergence system of the Tricaster in other systems. In addition, Don Ballance has all the knowledge and practice to respond to all the concerns that may arise in the day-to-day work using this system."
The sales director for Latin America of Newtek concluded that with the good results of this first experience in Colombia, Don Ballance will most likely go to other countries.
