Colombia. On May 27 and 28, the sixth version of TV Mofosis will be held, an event held in Mexico by the University of Guadalajara and this year moves to Bogotá on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Colombian television, in association with the Zoom Channel.
In this event, which will be held at the Centro Atico of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, more than 30 researchers, media professionals and those responsible for audiovisual regulation from 5 countries will meet in 9 discussion panels and 3 keynote lectures to share their experiences and learnings on the transition to DTT, taking as a reference the experiences of countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the United States and more recently Mexico.
Among the speakers of TV Morfosis are personalities such as the Professor of Organization and School Didactics of the University of Seville Julio Cabero; the outstanding screenwriter, producer and director of Colombian film and television Dago García; the Vice President of Marketing of History Channel, Cesar Coletti, among others.
This Forum will produce a series of 12 television programs that will be broadcast in Colombia through the National University Channel ZOOM, in Mexico through Channel 44 of the University of Guadalajara and throughout Latin America through the Association of Educational and Cultural Televisions ATEI.
For Germán Alfonso Pérez, Manager of the National University Channel ZOOM and in charge of the organization of the event, the fundamental purpose of this Sixth International Television Forum TVMORFOSIS, is to reflect on the experiences that Colombia has experienced with the implementation, consolidation and evolution of television; its most significant challenges and the perspectives of the Colombian and Ibero-American audiovisual industry at a key moment such as the transition to Digital Terrestrial Television, within the framework of the celebration of its Sixtieth Anniversary.
For the ANTV, the event is an important opportunity to reflect on the challenges that public and private television will face in the coming years, in which the TV sector will be significantly energized given the advent of DTT, 4G technology and the possibility of new channels.
TV Morfosis, is an original format of the University Radio and Television System of the University of Guadalajara, which has become a benchmark of Ibero-American television analysis and will be operated exclusively for Colombia by the ZOOM Channel.
