Costa Rica. The VIII general assembly of the Latin American Information Alliance AIL, will take place in the city of San Jose de Costa Rica on April 23, 45 and 25, this will be sponsored by our member in that country the Teletica channel, which will be attended by representatives of the 21 channels of the organization.
During the VIII Assembly, the CBS Channel (Columbia Broadcasting System) will be presented as a new member, which is linked as the 22nd member of the organization, thus achieving exclusivity as the only member of the organization in the United States of America.
As Juan Carlos Isaza, director of AIL, told TV y Video, "the linking of CBS is considered an important step for the organization, since it will be reflected in more informative content and technical resources for all members of the organization."
In parallel to the General Assembly of the AIL, the first technical meeting of the Latin American Information Alliance will be held, with the participation of the engineering heads of the 20 allied channels and where companies such as Sony are expected to participate, Avid and LiveU among others.
The first ENEX LATAM meeting will also take place, which will be made up of ENEX member channels that are in Latin America and the Caribbean and the directors of that organization, to look for better ways to work with ENEX members in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
In this regard, Juan Carlos Isaza explained that the seven members of ENEX in Latin America are in turn members of the AIL. "What we are looking for between the two organizations for the future is to form the first global non-profit information alliance that can compete with the big news agencies."
