Ross Video celebrates 40 years with new image

International. Ross Video begins its "Ruby" anniversary with a more modern look that includes a new corporate logo and the new slogan - Technology Production Experts. The updated logo and subtitle are designed to better represent the reality of the new Ross Video and its product portfolio more broadly and globally.


David Ross, CEO of Ross Video, said: "We are very proud of our past, and the original Ross logo. With our new logo we wanted something bold and fresh at the same time immediately recognizable as Ross. The logo was evolved from the original, with the name in front of ross and in the center. My father and founder Ross, John Ross, signs his name with an underline, and the punch under the logo represents his signature, as well as the momentum that began in 1974, when he sold his plane to raise the seed capital to start this incredible company."

Ross' original logo and badge was the cross-fade analogue "X" (it was a basic production switcher function) was a relevant design when the company only made video production switchers. As now its product portfolio to encompass a wide range of video production technologies and services, a new look made sense.

"The time had come to recognize all these changes with an updated look – while acknowledging a major milestone – Ross' 40th anniversary. We took our time, 6 years, in exploring what our new logo should be similar to. Thousands of design samples and improvements later, we finally come up with something we feel is right. It's simple, but sophisticated - Ross' representative, where he is today and where we're headed in the future. We hope you like it," concluded the company's CEO.
