Colombia. The Channel Nuestra Tele Noticias NTN24, an international Spanish-speaking 24-hour news network, reached an agreement to expand the use of LiveU technology to nine international offices in Latin America, the United States and Europe.
This expansion, the companies said, was achieved by the results obtained after the use of LiveU LU70 units in the last two years, units that provide portable live video solutions through cellular signals.
The new contract between the two companies is for a period of two years. It includes a combination of local units equipped with country-specific data plans for each of the nine deployed countries, as well as LiveU roaming units that can be exploited on short notice in dozens of other countries around the world.
LiveU roaming units allow NTN24 reporters and cameramen to arrive with breaking news in development from any country, and start broadcasting immediately upon arrival without the complexity of obtaining signal services that in many cases can be expensive.
"The additional LiveU units will allow us to enhance our live coverage around the world. With distributors and support in all the countries in which we operate, we know we can trust the company globally. Now we use LiveU daily in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe," said Alejandro Peña, general producer of NTN24.
