Venezuela. The Venezuelan government presented its first television network that under the model of open digital television, called TV ConCiencia, through which they hope to reach 60% of the national territory by the end of the year.
After the opening ceremony, the channel began a trial period that will last for the next three months and can be seen through the Open Digital Television system on channel 2305, between six in the morning and midnight.
This new channel will be dedicated to science, technology and innovation content, both Venezuelan and Latin American. To this end, it will have independent productions on science, documentaries and special bands for children on the focus topics.
During the opening ceremony, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, indicated that with this channel two paradigms are broken in his country. The first has to do with technology, being the first under open digital television.
With the second he referred to a qualitative leap in seeking that the new television is for life, the country, values, entertaining and quality, through the articulation of knowledge and technology to solve objective needs and work for the development of the country.
