Venezuela. Between January 21 and 25, 2013, university directors, producers and screenwriters will once again meet at the Viart Ibero-American Short Film Festival, which will be held in Caracas, Venezuela.
Therefore, until December 21, registration is open for those who are university students and who at the time of accreditation to the event include a copy of the paid registration, whether they are public and private universities or regular student certificate, institutes, courses and / or film schools.
But this year's contest opened a space for recent graduates, as those who have graduated between 2009 and 2011 can also participate as long as they present works done while they were linked to their university institutions.
The organizers of the contest remember that to apply, those interested must have audiovisual pieces of fiction, whether animation, documentary or experimental, which does not exceed 30 minutes and without limit of works postulated per person.
After the closing of the registration, the admission and pre-selection committee will be in charge of selecting the short films that will be considered finalists in the Official Section, based on the criteria of originality and quality. Then, a committee will be in charge of choosing the works that will be exhibited in competition and the selected films will be publicly screened during the days of celebration of the Festival.
All like-minded students from Spanish-speaking countries can participate in this contest. For more information on the contest rules and to register, click here.
