Argentina. During the last version of the Caper 2012 fair, Harris Broadcast Communications presented for Latin America its new workflow systems for television channels, the new Versio channel-in-a-box and digital asset management solutions.
Versio helps customers quickly launch, expand and keep their TV channels and services on the air, while strengthening revenue growth and the necessary protection. It combines video baseband, channel and graphics branding, and automated workflow capabilities, all in one easy-to-install, software-based, single-rack unit solution.
Broadcasters also have the freedom to use the integrated server and automation functions or integrate Versio with the external server and automation components – a key differential over competing solutions; which gives the opportunity to build the workflow that is most suitable for operations.
Harris also introduced the latest version of Invenio Motion, which transforms media asset management as a device-centric process into an enterprise resource management operation. This evolution allows media organizations to fully maximize the value of content production, management and use throughout the workflow.
Nahuel Villegas, vice president of sales and services for Harris' Latin America and Caribbean region, said, "Today, broadcasters need more flexibility to build the media workflow that best fits their current operations, with the freedom to easily change and expand their systems as their emission and media requirements evolve."
