Colombia. In order to socialize and discuss the regulatory projects related to the community television service that are currently being developed, the regulatory entities of Colombia advance forums in different regions of the country.
The next session of these forums, organized by the National Television Authority, ANTV, and the Communications Regulation Commission, CRC, will be held on September 20 in the Western region and will be based in the city of Medellín.
The central theme of this forum will be the regulation/regulation in force on the non-profit closed community television service in the country. According to its organizers, the objective is to analyze and discuss this type of television, taking into account the purposes and principles of the service for which it was created.
In addition, they will talk about the current conditions of its provision, the phenomenon of technological convergence and the evolution of the institutionality with respect to the intervention of the State in the provision of the public television service in the country.
This is the second forum held by the two entities. The first was in the Caribbean Region, based in Cartagena and attended by 60 representatives of the organized communities that provide the community TV service of this Region and its surrounding areas.
The forum will be held at the Plaza Mayor Convention Center in Medellín, within the framework of the ComuTV 2012 fair. For those interested in attending, they must complete the registration by clicking here.
