International. A new player joined the offer of on-demand internet programming. This time the turn is for Ora TV, a new channel that will broadcast streaming content, owned by Mexican businessman Carlos Slim.
For now, the flagship program of the internet channel is a segment of interviews directed by the famous American presenter Larry King, but it is expected that in the coming months the offer of own content will be expanded.
The channel will be available on the most popular platforms of the moment for this type of channels, such as tablets, cell phones, computers and smart TVs. The headquarters of the company is located in New York, and for what has been offered so far it is expected that its contents will be aimed at a global audience.
It is also important to note that this launch was made at a junctural moment for Slim, after the repeated refusals of the Mexican government to allow Telmex to offer pay television services in that country.
