Argentina. The promotion of open digital television continues to be deployed throughout the Argentine territory, this time it was in the small city of San Antonio de Areco, northeast of the province of Buenos Aires, where local authorities delivered 800 decoders for the TDA.
This donation is part of the project to implement digital television promoted by the Telecommunications Plan "Argentina Conectada".
The private secretary of Federal Planning, José María Olazagasti, considered that with these actions "more Argentines will enjoy from their homes, schools, hospitals, clubs, cooperatives, the images of the TDA in a free and free way".
The concession of the equipment was carried out in the municipal gymnasium of the city, in an act that was attended by the mayor Francisco Durañona, the comptroller of the National Communications Commission, Ceferino Namuncurá and the provincial senators Mariana Moretti, Fabio Sorchile and Cecilia Comerio.
The agencies of this country calculate that in approximately two years the total coverage of the population will be reached, which will make it possible for the country to carry out the analog blackout in 2019.
