International. The streaming television company Netflix, was satisfied with the results obtained since its incursion into the Latin American market about nine months ago.
Executives of the company revealed to an important Chilean news agency, that they continue to see the region as a great potential for growth and expansion possibilities for the business model they manage.
Joris Evers, director of global corporate communications at Netflix, stated that "we think the market is quite large and with many possibilities for us, so we have enjoyed working there."
The executive added that "we are growing in a good way and that has us happy, we hope to grow much more, although we still need more time."
As for the number of subscribers achieved, Evers explained that Netflix currently has about 26 million users, of which 23.4 million come from its operation in the United States and 3.07 million from businesses established in the rest of the world.
Regarding the particularities of their clients in the region, the official explained that in recent months they have had a learning process that will allow them to better meet the expectations of Latino customers.
As an example, he explained that they are expanding their offer of content in the original language with subtitles, because they realized that not all users liked to access programs with Spanish dubbing.
As for the variety and size of his catalog, he said that "soon we will upload our content offer for Latin America again, but we will never have an equal platform for all countries due to a matter of licenses, but we hope to have the best for each country and according to their needs."
