Chile. To have the latest in wiring and connectivity in its new headquarters in Machasa, which is scheduled to premiere between June and July, the channel Chilevision/Turner selected the project presented by Inviso and Videocorp.
The proposal, executed through Gepco and ADC/TE Connectivity Chile, representatives of both brands in that country, used hybrid fiber cabling with multiple channels, SMPTE connectorization with Lemo connectors through Fiber Panels made to measure by Gepco.
The installation also included ADC/TE's Cable Icon handling mounts and Rack's proPatch connectivity panels, state-of-the-art and capable of handling 3G digital video signals, and AES audio.
The connectivity manager of Inviso, Carlos Yáñez, was in charge of developing the project hand in hand with the Engineering Management of Chilevision, who worked together to meet all the technical requirements of the channel.
Carlos Yáñez explained that "the ADC/TE Cable patching and management line has the capacity, trajectory, and reliability necessary to handle the complex 3G Digital and audio connectivity required by an installation of this magnitude, and we are very proud to have been chosen by Chilevision/Turner for this important task."
Chilevisión is a channel with a long history in its country, it was founded in 1959 with the sponsorship of the University of Chile. Today it is operated by Turner Broadcasting System Latin America, Inc., a subsidiary of TBS, Inc., which purchased the channel in 2010.
