International. During the last edition of the International Forum Design Awards (iF), Sony was recognized by the TV Bravia NX720 and the professional camera NXCAM NEX-FS100EK.
These products, along with four other lines of business of the company, were recognized in the Gold Awards category, becoming the greatest achievement to date achieved by the company in this event, held in Munich, Germany.
Masayoshi Tsuchiya, head of Sony Design, said: "We are proud to have received six Gold Awards, one more than last year, in such a competitive forum where only 60 awards are given to companies from all industries, and in which this version involved more than 4,000 products."
The NXCAM NEX-FS100EK camcorder combines the best of high-definition "α" series compact cameras and "NXCAM" series professional camcorders. It is equipped with a "Exmor" Super 35 CMOS sensor specially designed for taking moving images, ideal for commercials and music videos, as well as action scenes in low-budget dramatic productions.
In addition, the Bravia NX720 TV offers sharper and more realistic 3D images thanks to X-Reality technology and the world of online possibilities offered by Sony Internet TV. The design, made of reinforced glass of 0.7mm and a lustrous black frame, produces the feeling that the image emerges from a simple black sheet.
