Imagine expands its team for Latam

Latin America. Imagine Communications announced the expansion of its team in the Caribbean and Latin America. Under the leadership of Leonardo Emilio Gañán, recently appointed head of sales at CALA, Imagine Communications' operations in Latin America are reinforced by the incorporation of several industry veterans with recognized track records in mid-size companies in the region, to maximize the potential of their businesses with the adoption of advanced technology.

New additions to the CALA team include the addition of Fernando Monetti, Eugenio Solda and César Carabajal, and the rise of Marino Guzmán, Louise Moggio, Sergio Yáñez, Guillermo Velasco Cuevas and José Luis Casas.

Pablo Gargiulo, Chief Sales Officer of Imagine Communications, said :"We continue to hire and make strategic appointments, bringing in people with experience, know-how and commitment to the region to better serve our clients. We are assembling a key team for CALA and with Emilio at the helm, we are optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing to provide mid-sized companies in the region with the solutions and support they need for their important operations."

As an example of its ongoing commitment to channel partners, Imagine Communications hired Fernando Monetti as Channel Manager. Monetti will be responsible for improving the reach of the company through a strategic network of channel partners, providing them with critical information, training and support. Prior to joining Imagine Communications, Monetti held management positions at Adtec, Thomson and Talhes; he is based in Miami and will report directly to Gañán.

The company has also named four new regional sales leaders. Eugenio Solda is the Sales Director for Brazil. As a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience in business administration in national and international companies in the broadcast, PayTV, Telecom and Energy sectors – including Cisco, GE and Tektronix – Solda is responsible for managing the company's operations in the largest country in the region. In addition, Marino Guzmán has been promoted to Sales Director for the Northern Cone region, made up of Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Prior to Imagine Communications, Guzman held senior sales and engineering positions at Harris Corporation, PBS, Digital Video Systems and the U.S. Department of State.

Sergio Yáñez has been promoted to Sales Director for Mexico. Yáñez has been with the company with sales leadership positions since 2008, and has extensive experience in broadcast engineering with companies such as Harris Corporation, Televisa and Telmex. Finally, César Carabajal, has been hired as Sales Director for the Southern Cone region, which covers Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru, based in the Argentina office. Prior to joining the company, Carabajal was a sales manager in Grass Valley.

Other strategic changes to the functioning of the region include the promotion of Louise Moggio as Director of Ad Management Sales for CALA. Moggio has more than 20 years of experience in technology, advertising management and sales in the broadcast, telecommunications and business areas, previously holding positions at Nuance Communications, Intel and Dialogic.

To offer clients a successful implementation of effective solutions in the region, Imagine Communications has appointed Guillermo Velasco Cuevas Director of Professional Services. In this newly created role, Cuevas will oversee initiatives to provide customers and channel partners with network design, commissioning, preventive monitoring, project management and support services. This service offering – MyImagine Services – is a complete solution that helps customers optimize their technologies and reduce risk, an unparalleled proposition in the market. Cuevas has been with Imagine Communications since 2014, and has previously held senior management positions at Avaya and Lucent Technologies.

José Luis Casas has also been promoted as leader of the Systems Architect team. Based in Argentina, Casas has more than two decades of sales and product support experience in the broadcast and telecommunications industries with several companies, including Harris Corporation and TIBA.

CALA's broadcast, media and entertainment industry is one of the most dynamic and creative in the world. The region's diverse cultural and economic landscape presents challenges and opportunities for media companies focused on attracting viewer loyalty with unique and multifaceted consumer preferences. Imagine Communications, through its strengthened CALA operations, is fully committed to meeting the needs of Latin American mid-sized companies with solutions and services suitable for the full spectrum of business models and audience consumption habits, including Over-the-Top (OTT) video distribution and ad insertion, the most flexible and complete solutions in the industry.

Imagine Communications is also expanding its presence in the CALA region to serve the particular needs of each Latin American country through a dynamic network of strategic alliances. In recent weeks, Imagine Communications has added more than 10 companies to its network of CALA channel partners.
