Colombia. The lawyer and professor from Antioquia Lucy Osorno assumed the General Management of RTVC – Señal Colombia Sistema de Medios Públicos, after taking office before the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications, Diego Molano.
The new Manager arrives with the commitment to lead the last phase of the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) process, so that this signal covers the entire national territory and allows the analog shutdown of television in Colombia.
It also has the responsibility of implementing Social Television, DTH, which will allow access to digital television channels with free content to all Colombians and to strengthen public television and Glossary Link radio in the country.
Lucy Osorno was until December 2013 Consul General of Colombia in Madrid, Spain, a position she left to occupy the Coordination of Strategic Alliances of the re-election campaign of President Juan Manuel Santos.
In 2009 he aspired to the National Television Commission as a representative of the Regional Channels, with the project of reform and modernization of these channels as a campaign proposal.
The new manager of RTVC – Señal Colombia Sistema de Medios Públicos has been a professor of Law at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano, in Medellín.
In the exercise of his professional career Osorno Sánchez has advised legally and legally to companies in the communications sector, in processes of start-up of television channels, formulation of programming grids and development of radio stations.
He has also worked in the fields of radio and television production, as well as the presentation of television programs. In addition to that, she was a Legal and Business Consultant in commercial and civil areas.
Lucy Osorno holds the rank of Lieutenant of the Active Reserve of the National Army of Colombia and in 2012 was recognized with the White Cross Medal of Merit by the National Police of Spain.
