International. JVC announced Joseph D'Amico as its new Deputy Vice President of Broadcast and Public Sector. From this position, he will be in charge of the regional sales directors of the company's broadcast area and the Broadcast Sales Rep (BSR) program.
Over the past six years as director of broadcast sales, D'Amico has helped rebuild JVC's presence in the industry by building and maintaining relationships with key executives for many broadcast groups. D'Amico began his career at JVC as a regional sales manager, after working for several years at Panasonic.
"By understanding our customers' needs for broadcast products, Joseph helped establish JVC's line of ProHD video cameras, including the GY-HM650 mobile news camera," said Larry Librach, senior vice president, JVC Professional Products.
D'Amico commented: "JVC is now the main supplier of cameras for broadcasters. Following another successful NAB Show and the launch of our 800 ProHD camcorder series, we are looking to continue to expand our leadership role in the industry. It's an exciting time for JVC, and I'm proud to be a part of it."
D'Amico is based at JVC's headquarters in Wayne.
