Mexico. Four hours and 45 minutes per day and per viewer during 2010 Mexicans were in front of their television, as revealed by the Media Performance 2010 study prepared by the Agency IbopeAGB.
This means that Mexicans increased their exposure to the TV by 23 minutes compared to the measurement of ten years ago.
The same study also points out that the total time of television consumption within a Mexican household reached on average nine hours and 25 minutes, with an increase of 50 minutes compared ten years ago.
In the case of Monterrey households, especially on working days, the exposure time per person rises to ten hours with 51 minutes, with an increase of one hour with 40 minutes compared to 2010.
Media Performance 2010 noted that programming has also changed. Broadcast times for magazine and sports programs decreased by 55 and 38 minutes respectively compared to a decade ago.
On the other hand, the series and the dramatized ones grew 90 and 52 minutes respectively during the same period.
Exclusive subscription television channels also grew in viewership, from 5% in 2000 to 16% in 2010, a situation presented by the increase in households that have this service.
