The main objectives of the Fundacion Cinemateca Boliviana are:
- Recover, preserve and disseminate the national collection of moving images.
- Support the updating of the educational system, providing teachers and students with critical - analytical tools in the face of the contemporary audiovisual universe.
- Support university and technical training centers in communication sciences, journalism, audiovisual production, etc.
- Provide audiovisual material to schools in coordination with the Educational Reform.
- Recover the universal cinematographic classics and disseminate the best world cinema of yesterday and today.
