Hand in hand with broadcast technology manufacturers, we analyze the vision and impact that artificial intelligence will have on the industry.
Richard Santa
Although it is under development, the emergence of artificial intelligence in the broadcast industry is generating significant impacts in different segments, which are undoubtedly changing the way audiovisual content is produced today and pose challenges for the future.
There are several areas of production, post-production and transmission in which artificial intelligence already has real functions, which are operating, although they still need the operation and supervision of industry professionals for a correct result. Some of them are:
Content Generation:
There are AI tools that can create scripts and generate written content for shows and series.
You can generate short-form content for social media, such as clips and promos, quickly and efficiently.
Editing and Postproduction:
It makes video editing easier by automating repetitive tasks such as shot selection, color correction, and adding visual effects.
AI tools can generate subtitles and translations automatically, improving the accessibility and reach of content.
Visual and Graphic Effects:
It allows you to create realistic visual effects and high-quality graphics, enhancing the viewer's visual experience.
Deep learning algorithms can improve the resolution of images and videos, removing noise and correcting colors.
Content Customization:
Analyze audience data to personalize content and recommendations, increasing viewer engagement and satisfaction.
Streaming platforms use AI to recommend shows and movies based on each user's tastes and preferences.
Data Analysis:
Analyze large amounts of audience data to better understand viewing patterns and audience preferences.
This information is used to optimize the programming, marketing, and distribution of content.
Participation Measurement:
You can track and measure audience engagement, such as watch time and click-through rates, providing valuable insights for content creators.
And while these are tools that are barely in development, they are a starting point for what the industry will be able to do. Not to mention the ethical and creative dilemmas or even the loss of jobs that its use can generate.
