After a year as subeditor of TV AND VIDEO, from 2013 I assume the position Editor of the magazine, with the firm intention of continuing to support the transcendental moment that the industry is experiencing in our region, with the implementation of digital television and the challenges that the internet proposes to us day by day.
one of the most important bets for 2013, when we turned 19 accompanying the television industry, is related to TecnoTelevisión, the congress that reaches its sixth year. We will have a greater space for the Commercial Exhibition and in the Academic Program we will have a second conference room dedicated to subscription television operators, which will complement the traditional production and post-production room.
As we recognize in university students the future of the industry, this year they will be linked through the TecnoTelevisión Colombia University Contest, organized with the support of the Centro Atico of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana, rewarding the best audiovisual piece that has as its theme "How everyday technology affects society".
Obviously we will continue with our main function, which is to highlight the relevant facts, new technologies and policies of television in Latin America. Therefore, we will be attentive to what will happen to digital television in the countries of the region, some being later than others, as well as the adoption of new open signal channels in Mexico and Colombia, among others.
I want to leave the doors open to establish a direct dialogue on all topics related to the television industry and analyze them through our different channels, the magazine, the web and our webcast. I look forward to your comments in [email protected]
