Latin America. Dielectric announced two new OptiLoad designs that extend the ecological and cost-cutting benefits of this charging solution to more radio frequency (RF) installations.
OptiLoad was inaugurated at the NAB Show 2024 with design innovations to better detect and prevent transmission system failures in liquid-cooled UHF and VHF television systems. These innovations offer a convergence of passive RF equipment, electronics, and sensors that Dielectric has adapted for radio and less rigorous UHF environments.
At the NAB Show 2025, Dielectric will present OptiLoad FM, a version for radio systems that retains the size and architecture of the original version. This represents another breakthrough in Dielectric's engineering, considering the considerable wavelength differences between FM radio and UHF television, which would normally require two solutions of very different sizes.
The main use cases of OptiLoad FM will include high-power FM sites with multiple stations feeding a master antenna system, where it is common for the combiner output to absorb the power being transmitted to a load.
Dielectric will also introduce OptiLoad Light, a lower-cost solution for UHF systems with fewer points of failure in the monitoring infrastructure, which offers the same performance as the original version with optimized internal components, allowing stations with lighter monitoring needs to enjoy the same sophistication at a more competitive price.
