Appear TV's Dense Multiscreen/OTT Encoder Module system is designed for multiple displays and OTT applications, where SDI or HD/SDI inputs are required. The module reduces the need to re-transcode in the drive chain for all display deliveries.
This system allows carriers or O&Os to compress the HD/SDI band, feeding on the profiles, formats and resolutions suitable for screen delivery. This ensures that content is protected for the device, while providing greater control and flexibility of assets going forward for redistribution and even eliminating the need for further processing and encoding of video in the distribution chain.
Dense Multiscreen/OTT Encoder Module allows users to select from different modules (demodulators, decoding, decoders, transcoders, encoders, modulators and multiple I/O interfaces, etc.) to encompass the different formats and distribution processes to create a customized solution. By adding the Multi-Screen/OTT encoder module to a configuration using the XC5000 series 4RU frame, users will have the ability to create up to 64 HD or SD 192 or more than 400 sub-SD profiles.
