Atoms
The company Atomos designed two new recorders, Shogun Flame and Ninja Flame, whose main feature is support for HDR (High Dynamic Range).
With a 7" display they work at 1900 x 1200 resolutions and are capable of displaying 10 stops of luminance with 10-bit of color depth. In recording on SSD cards, it is possible to store material in both HD and 4K in Apple ProRes HD/4K and DNxHR (4:2:2) files.
The new Flame offers a great brightness level of up to 1500 nits, almost four times what the Ninja Blade offers, and ten real stops at 10 bits of color depth. This equipment allows you to capture RAW from the Sony FS700 and FS7 cameras, as well as the Canon C300 MK II and C500.
For HDR image processing, both recorders/monitors use AtomHDR technology being totally faithful to the detail and brightness of the signal coming from the camera. It is possible to change the battery without interrupting the operation thanks to its interchangeable double battery technology.
